Perhaps it was my 3+-hour run on Sunday. Maybe it was the cumulative energy drain of my awareness of the impact of Katrina on our national consciousness. Maybe I was just tired.
My running this week has been minimal, and my contributions to the journal here have been nonexistent.
Just in time for the weekend, my interest in both is returning.
Our group run at Doudy Draw was a fun opportunity for several of us to get to know each other and others of us to catch up on the events of the week. As a group we did an out-and-back along Community Ditch, made a bit challenging only by the rocks in the otherwise very flat terrain.
The weather and the view of the Flatirons were both energizing. Runs like this return me over and over again to a deep sense of gratitude for the gift of Place we enjoy in Boulder.
